How do I pay contractors?
You pay contractors cash at the end of each work day. We can be flexible in setting up payout plans that work for you.
Do I need to create 1099’s for each contractor?
No. We’ve got you covered! Our platform will provide you with digital 1099 reports so you can easily keep track of contractor payouts and hand it over to your CPA when tax season comes around!
Am I responsible for supplying the contractors with the necessary equipment?
Yes! Some contractors will bring their own equipment, but ideally we prefer that our customers provide contractors with the equipment so it’s maintained and sterilized to your expectations! If you need any help in sourcing equipment please don’t hesitate to reach out to us, we would be more than happy to make relevant introductions!
If a contractor isn’t performing well, can I let them go early?
Absolutely. If a contractor doesn’t meet your expectations, you are free to let them go early, and pay them for their time. However, please reach out to your designated operations lead and inform us of the contractor who has been cut so we can refund you the credit and get feedback on how the contractor could improve their work.
Am I able to hire a contractor full-time?
Absolutely! In fact, we recommend that you hire contractors who you enjoy working with and fit your corporate culture. To hire a contractor full-time, all you need to do is inform your operations lead, fill out a Full-Time work offer to extend towards the candidate, and once they’ve accepted we just charge you a flat fee of 40 credits from your annual plan. No minimum hours, no staffing fees.
What does the insurance policy cover?
Our platform provides liability insurance through an occupational accident coverage policy for all contractors booked through the OKO system for work while you're an active client.
Do credits rollover?
Yes! Unused credits from an annual plan rollover and there is no expiration date for them.
How do I pay the plan invoice?
Through our partnership with Aeropay, you can directly pay us for an annual contract via ACH transfer through the billing portal on our platform! Alternatively, if you haven’t set up online banking for your business yet we can introduce you and help you get onboarded to one of our banking partners. If you would like to pay us via cash or check please reach our to your operations lead for step-by-step instructions.
What happens if I run out of credits?
If you run out of credits, you can upgrade to a new plan! We’ll append the new contract to the old, add your credits, and reset the invoice date.
Are plans and/or credits refundable?
Plans and credits are not refundable, but we are more than happy to work with you to mitigate any transaction concerns.
Who manages the workers once I’ve booked a job?
We are currently piloting a new program where we can match clients with Success Managers who have been trained by OKO and certified to help you manage jobs, and the contractors you’ve hired through our platform. If you’re interested please schedule a demo call with us.
